IAU admits qualified students who exhibit significant potential and promise of completing the program, as evidenced by prior academic performance and professional experience. With an open admissions policy, all students who apply and meet the admissions criteria will be admitted. As IAU is not bound to physical classrooms, it can accommodate all students. Degree programs are self-paced and available year-round, allowing students to enter and progress through their program at any time and at their own pace.

Work Opportunities
IAU offers international students a chance to work in the USA via CPT / OPT. Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is an off-campus employment option for F-1 students when the training is an integral part of the academic program. Optional Practical Training (OPT) is for students who have fulfilled one year of academics and are eligible for graduation. OPT allows applicants to work full-time up to 12 months after graduation.
